Alarmen [D- Abstract - Ambient - Industrial]
OKO is a musical and visual collaboration between two artist, both with an interest in improvising agressive noise - performed live.Neither the sound nor the spektacle take center stage, but costantly wrestle for the spectator..s attention. The performers are Robert Heim on electronics and Aleks Slota on voice and visuals.Heim has a long history of musical innovation, starting his musical career as bassist in a variety of bands, moving on to creating live electronic dance music, ambient soundscapes and now live noise,in some ways coming full circle.Slota has been creating visual art for well over a decade, with a strong emphasis on performance art.He also provided vocals for the math metal band,Hexacron.OKO is an attempt to create a total environment, enveloping the audience in its presence and communicating through multi-sensory,abstract impulses that are intended to provoke a deep individual experience.

Sonar started in 1996 as a project from Dirk Ivens (Dive / The Klinik /
Absolute Body Control ) and Patrick Stevens ( Hypnoskull ) with the aim
to create rhythmical noise and dark soundscapes, music with a
combination of analogue and digital instruments. Patrick left in 1998
and was replaced by Eric van Wonterghem ( Monolith / Insekt / Absolute
Body Control ). The rhythms remind to working machines, the soundscapes
to droning planes. The sound of Sonar is made to make you move in
another way, to tune you into a hypnotic beat. It is a straightforward
sound which goes further on classic industrial but never without an
extra dimension of powerful dynamics and tuned electronics. Sonar is
looking for a contemporary definition of danceable industrial and tries
to discover this by controlling electronic devices.
Portion Control are one of the most influential and copied harder edged
electronic bands in the world. They have been honored and name checked
by the likes of Depeche Mode, Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly, NiN
& Orbital. Formed in London in 1979 they have produced a stream of
critically acclaimed releases.
2006 saw the release of archive a boxed collection of 5 CD's that
included all the portion vinyl now they forge on unfettered by typical
genre thinking, continuing to deliver a unique, innovative, updated and
relevant sound that is theirs alone
Morgenstern's dark music consists of strange, hypnotic loops, distorted
powernoise and heavy death industrial tunes. Deep drones with occasional
samples are slowly transformed into a quiet wind tunnel groan with
sporadic echoes of thumps and bumps from far-off objects in the
background. The music flows into a rythmic tribal drum ceremony where
various pitches of wind noise through a pipe are layered in, while
electrodes snap, a rythmic helicopter sounds and firecrackers pop.
War-torn screams and cries are blended way into the background. Tribal
powernoise rhythms and dark ambient: from ceremonial processions to
hypnosis and hysteria, being relaxed on the outside and at the same time
restless on the inside. Morgenstern was founded in '93 as the solo
project of Andrea Börner, who was also a member of the legendary project
Ars Moriendi (1990-95). She's still a part of the ambient project
Templegardens. The production of Morgenstern's works is actively
supported by Philipp Münch of Synapscape and Andreas Schramm of Asche.
HYBRYDS since the mid 80 -ties working in the ritual -
mythical -industrial and magical music scene. This band is known for its
mind-expanding sound. Primitive ethnical and contemporary industrial
influences are blended to create a unique style that has influenced many
who were looking for spiritual dimensions. In the beginning of the 80
-ties, Sandy Viktor Nys, (aka Magthea,)the male side of the HYBRYDS was
involved in THE KLINIK, in the mid 80 - ties he worked on his own
personnel music style. Based on ancient influences and modern
technology. release concert - Urban

incite/ is the Hamburg-based audiovisual electronics duo of Kera Nagel
(solo: axiomatic integration) and André Aspelmeier (solo: GradCom).
Mixing eye-catching experimental audiovisual art with dynamic distorted
IDM grooves, the duo criss-crosses art and club worlds, creating intense
experiences for ears and eyes. Fragmented electric junk, fragile bursts
of static noise and extra-charged sub-bass-kicks join abstract
monochromatic imagery. incite/ play seriously weird glitch and
quasi-danceable grooves in synced conjunction with intense grayscale
visuals.
Live shows are the main focus of incite/. Since April 03 Kera and André
have played far more than one hundred gigs: tours in Europe and the US,
and many gigs on international media festivals
Job Karmapostindustrial group based in Wrocław, Poland, started in 1998.
The group employs a wide variety of means of expression, ranging from synthetically prepared electroacoustic structures and sampling, to distorted or processed rhythms or even melodies. Through their music and carefully selected and prepared imagery and videos they seek to deal with the dysfunctional elements of contemporary civilization, the looming war and annihilation, the inimical political and religious system and the slow decline of all values due to the progressive commercialisation of the day-to-day life of an individual and society.
Since 2000 they have been running an on-going project "RYTUAŁ," concerned with the effects of civilisation’s progress on the human condition, and involving site-tailored music and video materials to be performed at specific locations, such as a thermal power plant, a cathedral, a synagogue or Chernobyl. Since 2001 FRETT teamed up with BAGIŃSKI and together they have been organising the annual WROCŁAW INDUSTRIAL FESTIVAL, a major contemporary event designed to popularise the contemporary varieties of industrial music and culture.
Wieloryb was established in 1994 in Gdansk, Poland.
At first it consists of four members from different formations from
the Tri City. They play quite experimentally. In the same year they
release their first album called “I”. Wieloryb, as one of the first
Polish industrial bands, starts playing live in the country and
abroad. Wieloryb plays with such musicians as Jimi Tenor and Pan
Sonic. In 1995 they release their second official album: “II”.
The current musical path WIELORYB decided to walk along is
industrial rhythmic noise, inspired by ever existing rhythm.
The city noise, the heart beat, the rhythm of machines, the pulse…
Consistent, regular, repetitive… Birth, pain, sex, death.

Kunst als Strafe
(record release concert) - Sleepless Records Berlin
{KAS} was originally formed in Berlin in
late 1998 by gerrit haasler, rocio rocha and goetz kleinhaus and
put in hiatus after first initial test recordings until early 2008 when niko
arnold joined in. {KAS}’s analysis of pretextual discourse is not narrative, as
postcapitalist deconstruction suggests, but subnarrative. Thus, if
neocapitalist Marxism holds, the works of {KAS} are empowering. Pretextual discourse implies that class has significance, but only if
consciousness is interchangeable with culture; if that is not the case,
{KAS}’s model of postcapitalist deconstruction is one of “posttextual
dialectic theory”, and therefore fundamentally dead. In a sense, {KAS}
use the term “pretextual discourse” to denote the difference between
society and sexual identity. {KAS}’s critique of neocapitalist Marxism states that consciousness
serves to disempower the Other. Therefore, the primary theme of {KAS}’s
works is a mythopoetical paradox.
