Monolith:

Eric Van Wonterghem is presenting his long awaited NEW Album with Monolith, etnic samples & deep beats, the Disco Buddha is back.
MONOLITH Conceptual solo-project of Belgian electronic music veteran and producer Eric van Wonterghem(ex-KLINIK,Insekt, Sonar, Absolute Body Control,), MONOLITH has always provided long days of bewilderment to journalists who never really managed to pigeonhole his music in any specific music sub-genre. Renown for his elaborate electronic music arrangements which speak to both body and mind, MONOLITH takes us on a sonic journey cleverly departing from his most recent ritual oriented work to explore new territories. Repetitive loops, hypnotising electronic sequences and carrying rhythmics take you into a multi-coloured journey through electro and industrial landscapes, each time incorporating new exotic elements, using vocal samples and distinctive guest vocalists. Featuring a more direct song writing approach, our Belgian studio guru meticulous production talent and a depressive apocalyptic central theme, He effortlessly delivers to us the ultimate hi-energy cocktail of modern urban industrial with some surprising minimal electro/clash tonalities intelligently blending our 80s analog music background (fortified by excellent real time synth performances) with futuristic fx and mesmerising electro sequences. And the addition of female guest vocals by Hilde Ivens, on several tracks widens once more the music spectrum of MONOLITH. A band having the rare privilege to appeal to a very diversified audience, ranging from the Ant-zen harsh ambient/industrial camp through Novamutemore intellectual electronic dance experiments or yet Gigolo Records electro clash gang. A strongly recommended and uplifting sonic experience.

N.U.Unruh

airshow.jpg In the beginning there were brandnew aircompressors...
One of the underlying themes of E.N.’s “Perpetuum Mobile“ is air. I decided to do some more musical research in that field: Inspired by tracks like “Boreas“, “Summerly Installation“, “Paradiesseits“, “Säuseln“ and “Perpetuum Mobile“ and the making of the “Aircake“ the AIRSHOW is a continuation and supplement of that period. The utilization of PVC-tubing on “Youme & Meyou“ / “Compressors In The Dark“ and the aircompressors gave me the idea to operate with more items like ventilators, balloons, propellers, blow torch and so on, for a performance based on the element air. Editing all the videomaterial of the webcast-live-performance was a long process, a specific language of pictures was achieved, the sound got completely reworked. Musically, you can find these 12 ambiences somewhere between a noisy dream an a contemplative soundtrack...
literally building-collapsing fashion.

The German Band OBJEKT/URIAN founded in 1998.
Last year in Oktober - after more than six years - OBJEKT/URIAN release their
long-awaited second CD «Agitation» at the famous label «Tesco Organisation».
These days of the 'post-industrial' time offer divers views of the inheritance of bands like TG, SPK and others. Music, content and ambitions might have changed according to the perspectives. We can find a combination of yesterday and today in OBJEKT/URIAN.
They stroll down the old paths by building instruments by themselves as well as they use analogue technology. The result is a quite distinct sound yet it always reveals the nearness to Power-Electronics and Noise. The incredibly blurred and ugly aspect of social and political issues is almost foist on the listener with the aggressive vocals.
OBJEKT/URIAN's live performances are dynamic dismantlements of society’s deceiving illusion of an ideal world. They built oscillatory objects by themselves. Along with analog synthesizers and aggressive vocals they provide the sonic framework of an angry impeachment, that is performed with a lots of sweat and sometimes even blood.

Mandelbrot:

about: Mandelbrot was born as one of the many projects of P. Muench (Synapscape, Monokrom, The Rorschach Garden, Templegarden's etc.) to experiment with Dark Ambient sounds. Even if he just started Templegarden's as a joined project with Asche, he was in the need for another project to create music with a less ritual and sacral character. Until 2002 he released several tapes and CDrs on Fich-Art, Old Europa Café and sub.ver.siv. In 2005 B. Teichner (who is also part of the lineup of The Rorschach Garden and other projects) joined Mandelbrot. From 2005 on they released 4 cd albums on Audiphob, and the performance at Schlagstrom- Festival this year can be considered as record release party of the 4th audiophob album, called 'Distant Travellers'.
Generally you could put Mandelbrots music under the dark ambient music file with lots of different influences like occasional rhythms and sometimes electroacoustic and traditional instruments like a slicer for hard boiled eggs.

proyecto-mirage-1.jpg  proyecto mirage

proyecto mirage was founded in 1990 by alicia h. willen and francisco planellas. they were initially influenced by the classic electro-pop of the early nineties (a sound which is still present in the side project bubble gum) but the duo was also attracted to industrial-music projects like s.p.k., whitehouse and - of course - esplendor geométrico. their first release saw the light of day after nine years, and their creative output since then has evolved into more complexity. the hard-floor oriented aggressiveness was enriched with electronic ingredients of all kinds - ranging from electro and electronic body music to techno, drum'n'bass, or even sounds similar to those of experimental 'bridging artists' like aphex twin and pan sonic. artists who share p.m.'s taste for alarming atmospheres, broken melodies and distorted rhythms.
this is what they are, this is where the project is today
always keep in mind: proyecto mirage is not just an illusion but a concrete reality!

Darkradarkrad3.jpgd (dark electronics / Moscow, Russia)

The project Darkrad was found in 2008 by a famous figure on Moscow underground scene DJ JanaDark. Being the only member she realizes herdeepest feelings and thoughts in it. Experiments with voice, gloomyelectronic beats and mysterious fragile melodies - all this is Darkrad. In thename of the project the word "Windrad" is used, which in German means"Windmill". The "Darkrad" is a windmill, which blades capture the hiddenenergies of a human's soul and transform them into the dark soundscapes. For relatively short period of time the project had participated in a number of events in Russia, Belarus, Latvia, Germany, Czech Republic... The live performance of Darkrad is an ocean of feelings from the somber corners of the sub consciousness, which doesn't suppress and turn off the emotions, but sharpen them to a sometimes frightening peak. The release of the debutalbum of Darkrad is planned for the end of 2011.

  Joke Lanz: turntables

Turntablist Joke Lanz creates autonomous sound-cells that melt into a language free of any function.
He combines ritual reductionism with anarchistic playfulness, atmospheric soundscapes with cut-up noise and physicalness with unpredictability.
Massive scratches, walls of sound, grooves, loops, noises and voice modulations lead you on a journey into a world of unknown sound holes and deep abstract rhythm constructions.
Best known for his international acclaimed Noise project 'Sudden Infant', Joke Lanz is presenting his work since 25 years all over the world. Born in Switzerland and currently operating out of Berlin, Joke Lanz is one of the most prolific and profound artists working in the border zones where performance and body art meet Improvisation and Noise. In his Sudden Infant guise, Lanz creates a unique blend of physical sound poetry and epileptic noise bursts, using contact microphones, loops, tapes etc. The result is an extreme form of musique concrète that juxtaposes spasmodic gibbering with a battery of disorienting electronics.
His activities in various solo and collective guises (for music groups, radio projects, theater and dance endeavors) have included Sudden Infant, Schimpfluch-Gruppe, WAL, Catholic Boys In Heavy Leather, Jaywalker, Tell, Opposite Opponents, Psychic Rally and countless others. He has also toured the world over with various acolytes and has released his works on some of the most prominent record labels in the noise underground (RRR, Schimpfluch, Tochnit Aleph, Blossoming Noise, Entr'acte, Artware, SSSM, Klanggalerie, Some Bizarre, iDeal Rec and many more).

Tardive Dyskinesia

Tardive Dyskinesia stands for storytelling ambient, noisy landscapes mixed with different fragments of experimental electronic. All of this was and will be deeply impressed by industrial music and all kinds of sounds around us
Tardive dyskinesia is a difficult-to-treat form of dyskinesia (disorder resulting in involuntary, repetitive body movements) that can be tardive (having a slow or belated onset). It frequently appears after long-term or high-dose use of antipsychotic drugs, or in children and infants as a side effect from usage of drugs for gastrointestinal disorders prevention. (Wikipedia)
Ronny Herlings project Tardive Dyskinesia, changing between Ambient and Electronica gives a slight touch of the mindset behind this disease. The strange electronically sounds he provides drill holes into “normality”, sucking the listener deeper and deeper into really dark worlds, thereby unfolding landscapes of internal horror and loneliness. But the crackling mid-tempo beats drive the listener to even lighter places – sometimes there is even a spot of hope...
Tardive Dyskinesia came into live in 2002, at this time still a side project, by the time becoming Ronny Herlings main focus. First album “Abuse” was released in 2004 and later transformed into an audio-visual experience released as a DVD on Thonar Records. Three other studio albums and a live recording were released in the last years as well as a couple of tracks for compilation of Labels like Steinklang, Tosom or Krachcom records. Actually a new album is in progress.

 100b.jpg 100blumen

since the beginning 100blumen have constituted a firm combination of powerful electronics and political acuteness. started as a one man project in 2004 by  marcel van blumen, the project amplified to a duo after chris van blumen's guitar supported marcel during live performances and on a few past tracks - now chris is a permanent band member and together they're stronger than ever. their versatility
is audible on each track, way beyond any 'industrial' or 'electropunk' clichés. a multilateral spectrum of vibes ranging from melancholic violence to belligerence. a multitude of rhythmic variations - broken and straight - appended with stirring basses lay the groundwork for subtle melodic excursions and synthesized fury.stylistic boundaries are non-existent: rhythmic noise, ambient, technoid industrial,
punk and breakbeat add up to an explosive bouquet!

capsular01.jpg  Capsular

Capsular is a project by Mirko Hentrich, who is also active in electronic music scene with Spherical Disrupted etc. Capsular produces quiet, loud, but always dark and menacing soundscapes by using field recordings and cascaded effects. Live this soundscapes are accompanied by adequate mono movies.

Label Krater Recordings (incl. download release): http://www.disrupted.de/krat/
Capsular released one download release on Krater Recordings (Audiophob) so far. An album is intended.

morbus m p2.jpg  Morbus M.
